We truly love raising our animals and they in turn have wonderful lives and the quality of our meat and eggs reflects that. Learn more about our duck eggs, duck and chicken meats.

Duck Eggs

Love to bake? Allergic to chicken eggs? Want the best egg salad? Our duck eggs have rich, dark orange yolks and protein packed whites making them perfect for all your favorite baked goods and more. One duck egg is equal to about 1.5 chicken eggs and has a thick shell that really needs cracking. Our ducks are free to forage all day behind the safety of electric poultry net. Affectionately referred to as “The Quack Ducks” our flock is made up of Magpie, Indian Runners, Golden 300s, a few heritage breeds and Runner or Magpie cross mixes. We love watching them waddle and forage in the field, especially on rainy days. Their nighttime coop is rolled every day so they always have a clean bed. Duck eggs are sold washed in new cartons. ($.50 discount when purchased on-farm) Please consider returning your carton to us for reuse! $4.00/ 6-pack, $7.00/doz

Pasture Raised Chickens

Along with our home-bred meats we also raise one batch of chickens each summer. Our chicks are purchased from a local hatchery and free range on pasture most of their lives. They spend their first 3 weeks in a dry, heated room in our barn, spend a week or two enclosed in a protected ‘tractor’ which is moved every day, and are then allowed out during the daytime to scratch, peck and flap in large electronet pens which are moved every week or so. We raise chickens to fill our own freezers and have been happy to sell delicious fryers to our customers since 2017. We are now taking pre-orders for whole fryers, available this June, so reserve yours now!

Pricing: $10 deposit per bird. Price per pound based on number of chickens ordered: 1-4: $4.75/pound, 5-9: $4.25/pound, 10+: $4.00/pound.

Muscovy Duck Meat

Muscovy duck meat is dark red and is lower in fat than the traditional Pekin duck, but still fatty enough to be decadent, tender and delicious. We like to call Muscovy meat the “sirloin” of poultry and our very favorite preparation is pan-seared breasts served with a rich deglazed sauce and side of greens. Delicious! Our ducks are raised on pasture from day one and hatched by their mothers. They are free to forage for bugs and love fresh zucchinis. We keep our birds’ wings pinioned or clipped to prevent flying, ensuring your meat is always tender and they stay safely in their paddock. We process our birds at 10-14 weeks old and sell them whole. Muscovy drakes are much larger than the female ducks: Dressed ducks weigh in at 3-4 pounds, drakes are 4-7 pounds.

Duck Pricing: $7.25/pound. Now taking reservations for our next batch of fresh duck. Harvest date TBD.

Yes, we sell ducklings! Day old ducklings start at $7.00, butcher aged ducks are $15-30. Inquire for availability.

How to Order:

Save money by supporting your local farmer with pre-orders and on-farm pick up. We are now taking orders for whole chickens as well as muscovy duck. Enjoy a discounted price per pound by reserving ahead with a deposit and picking up day of slaughter, fresh. I also take orders for eggs to be picked up by appointment on our farm, or delivered to town.

Chicken:

  • Pick up fresh on farm on your choice of two-three weekends in June  (Final dates TBD)
  • $10 deposit per bird required up front with balance due on pick up. Price per pound based on number of chickens ordered: 1-4: $4.75/pound, 5-9: $4.25/pound, 10+: $4.00/pound

Bulk discounts are only good for birds to be picked up fresh on harvest day (by appointment, between 3-5 pm or) or frozen, the morning after by pre-arrangement. Birds will be kept on ice.  We may request that you drop off a cooler the week prior to harvest depending on the status of the Covid-19 pandemic. Deposits are non-refundable so please make arrangements for someone else to pick up your meat if you are unable to make it to the farm on your appointed day.

Duck:

Duck does not benefit from bulk discounts this year. We have scaled our flock down and will have a limited number of birds available for harvest. If you love duck and want to serve some to your family this year, please reserve yours now!

Eggs:

We periodically do delivery runs to Corvallis and Dallas, dropping eggs off into coolers on your porch. During this Covid-19 ‘stay at home’ order we are delivering much less frequently. On-farm sales continue with a cooler at the gate by pre-order. We are encouraging our customers to pay by paypal, venmo or check to minimize cash handling.  Bonus: save $.50 off every dozen when you pick up from our farm! *Map to our property can be found at the bottom of this page.
